Frequently asked

Hinchliffe Surface Care, your questions.

What does SURFACE CARE by Hinchliffe cover?

Inspection, cleaning, restoration, repair, sealing and maintenance for resin bound, block paving, tarmac and hard-landscaped surfaces. We focus on protecting performance and extending service life, not just making it look clean for a week.

Can you maintain a driveway that was not installed by Hinchliffe?

Yes. We assess the existing surface and sub-base, identify what needs attention and quote the work honestly. We won't seal a failing sub-base or repair a surface that needs rebuilding.

How often should a resin or block-paved driveway be maintained?

Most residential driveways benefit from an annual inspection and clean. High-traffic commercial sites, shaded properties or drives under trees often need twice-yearly attention. We can set up a planned maintenance schedule.

Will sealing stop weeds and algae on block paving?

Correct joint refurbishment and a quality sealant will dramatically reduce weed growth and make routine cleaning easier. It won't stop organic matter if the surface is permanently shaded or poorly drained, so we address drainage as part of the package.

Can you repair small areas of resin or block paving?

Yes. We can cut out and reinstate damaged resin, lift and relevel sunken blocks and repair edge restraint. If the issue is sub-base failure we will say so, because surface repairs on a bad base won't last.
